The Friends of Alta Plaza Park board has elected to postpone further development plans for solar lighting and concrete pathways for the next three months. The economic turnaround will be monitored on a quarterly basis to reevaluate public/private funding options. We will continue to keep you informed as developments arise.
The FOAPP board has secured a meeting with D2 Supervisor Catherine Stefani and Captain Joe Engler of the SFPD Northern Station to address two pressing park concerns: ongoing vandalism and proposed Lyft GoBike docking station locations. We will report the outcome of these discussions to our park supporters.
With fall fast approaching, the Friends will host our first annual Harvest Festival and hope you'll join us for some fun seasonal festivities. The festival will include children’s activities, music and yummy treats like apple cider and cookies. Join us on the plaza adjacent to the Friedman Family Children’s Playground. Please RSVP!
The San Francisco Fleet Week Air Show attracts fans from all over the globe. The waterfront event is headlined by The U.S. Navy Blue Angels. Come view the show from the North lawn of the park.
