The foxtail plant is a grass-like weed. The barbed seed heads of the foxtail plant can work their way into any part of your dog or cat, from the nose to between the toes and inside the ears, eyes and mouth. They can even simply dig themselves directly into a patch of skin.
Join the Friends of Alta Plaza Park in partnership with SF Dog as we weed out foxtails that are dangerous to your pets.
Socialize with your neighbors and enjoy complimentary refreshments. Wear sturdy shoes, hat, sun screen, and bring a refillable water bottle. We'll provide gloves and tools.
