A Summertime Clean & Green Day Recap

With record high temperatures on June 8, a hearty band of volunteers joined our SFRPD gardeners in timely fashion. Underlying cardboard and mulch topping were applied to ensure hydration and preclude weed infiltration of newly planted beds at the Jackson and Pierce entry.

March Clean & Green Recap

Neither rain nor wind deterred three hearty volunteers who joined RPD gardeners and apprentices on March 9 to plant the Jackson/Pierce entry way.  Bolstered by hot coffee generously provided by Peet's on Fillmore and fortified with a continental breakfast, compliments of the Friends of Alta Plaza Park (FOAPP), they persevered as the weather cleared.

Please plan to join the Friends and gardeners under much fairer conditions on Saturday, June 8.  Clean & Green Days are a great way to meet neighbors and get a weekend workout!
