March Clean & Green Recap

March Clean & Green Recap

Neither rain nor wind deterred three hearty volunteers who joined RPD gardeners and apprentices on March 9 to plant the Jackson/Pierce entry way.  Bolstered by hot coffee generously provided by Peet's on Fillmore and fortified with a continental breakfast, compliments of the Friends of Alta Plaza Park (FOAPP), they persevered as the weather cleared.

Please plan to join the Friends and gardeners under much fairer conditions on Saturday, June 8.  Clean & Green Days are a great way to meet neighbors and get a weekend workout!

March Clean & Green, Saturday, March 9, 2018, 10:00AM-1:00PM

Our Park Services Managers have dedicated a special planting area at the Jackson/Pierce entry for our quarterly Clean & Green on March 9th - RSVP below! This marks the third of four northside entry plantings following the Irrigation & Water Conservation Project. SFRPD has scheduled beautification of the Jackson/Steiner entrance by month-end.

This volunteer activity is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors and enjoy continental breakfast. Tools and instruction are provided by the gardeners. Please meet at the children’s playground and wear sturdy shoes, a protective hat, and dress in comfortable layers.

Please RSVP!
