Springtime in Alta Plaza Park brought out many of our enthusiastic volunteers on Saturday, March 8.  Amply fueled with a continental breakfast, compliments of Peet's Coffee, Trader Joe's fruit juice and bagels with all the trimmings supplied by the Friends of Alta Plaza Park, the group quickly got to work.

Tudy Aubry, Park Section Supervisor, and Zack Taylor, Acting Park Service Manager, provided the tools, gloves and expert supervision for vital landscaping tasks.  Volunteers help with hedge trimming, pathway edging, mulching, planting and other projects to augment the work of our dedicated gardener, Marvin Mouton, and SFRPD Public Service Trainees.

The enthusiastic "women's power team" tackles foliage along the storage shed.  Upcoming improvements under the Water Conservation Project will greatly enhance coverage of this structure.

Join us for our next clean-and-green day on Saturday, June 14, 10:00AM-1:00PM.   Everyone welcome!
